Mirchi : 11 Years For Game Changer In Prabhas Career

Rebel Star Prabhas who was already a bankable star has emerged as a Big Star with Mirchi which was released today 11 years ago. He scored superhit with Varsham and audiences got a glimpse about his action image in that musical love story. SS Rajamouli has presented Prabhas as an action hero with Chatrapathy. His other films Darling and Mr Perfect became Superhits providing him a soft image and brings him close to family audiences. 

Mirchi - Written and Directed by Koratala Siva who made his directorial debut has unleashed full calibre of Prabhas. Vamsy and Pramod who were close to Prabhas have launched UV Creations banner and produced the film. Anushka Shetty and Richa Gangopadhyay paired with Prabhas as female leads. Initially it was titled as Vaaradhi and later it was confirmed as Mirchi as its title. The film was supposed to release for Sankranthi but due to multiple releases, got pushed to February 8th. 

Usually February was considered as dry season for films. But, Mirchi changed the perception and broke many myths. It became blockbuster right from its early morning shows. Prabhas became a darling to all sections of audiences with his stylish yet powerful performance. Koratala Siva has created a seperate genre in commercial cinema where presenting massy elements in a classy manner. The film breaking many records of Prabhas and collected close to Rs 50 Crore share which is Top 5 at that time in Tollywood.

Mirchi is celebrating 11 years of its release today so is Koratala Siva as a director and UV Creations as production house. Mirchi not only proved potential of Prabhas but also gave Tollywood an efficient Director and a big banner.
