Renowned music composer Ilayaraja's daughter, Bhavatharini, succumbed to a prolonged illness on January 25 at the age of 47, while undergoing treatment in Sri Lanka. Despite her journey for Ayurvedic therapy spanning five months, her health did not witness any improvement, leading to her demise at 5:20 PM today. Tomorrow, her body is slated to be transported to Chennai.

Having made significant contributions to the film industry, Bhavatharini was a multifaceted artist, serving as an actress, playback singer, and music composer. A pivotal figure in her family's musical legacy, she collaborated with her father and brothers on various film projects, showcasing her unique and distinctive voice in over 30 films.
