Tdp, JS, BJP to surprise YSRCP. Speculations are buzzing about a potential alliance between the Telugu Desam Party (Tdp), Jana Sena, and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Andhra Pradesh for the upcoming 2024 general elections, reminiscent of their collaboration in the 2014 polls. The alliance is anticipated to solidify around the Sankranti festival season.

Insiders suggest that the BJP's top leadership is actively considering this possibility, and a definitive decision will be made following a thorough evaluation of the reports received from the state party. Social media platforms are abuzz with rumors of the three parties uniting to counter the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP).

Nara Lokesh, the General Secretary of Tdp, hinted at ongoing discussions about alliance matters and seat adjustments, affirming that clarity on Tdp-Jana Sena seats would be achieved by Sankranti.

Daggubati Purandeswari, the State BJP President, emphasized that all decisions regarding the 2024 poll alliance would be determined by the party's high command.

Notably, the Tdp-BJP-Jana Sena alliance proved successful in the 2014 elections, leading to Nara Chandrababu Naidu assuming power. However, political dynamics shifted, resulting in a fallout between Naidu and the BJP, including Prime Minister Modi.

Over the past two years, Naidu has been diligently working to mend ties between Tdp and BJP. With the general elections looming in the next few months, discussions about potential alliances are gaining momentum.

Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan is advocating strongly for a three-party alliance, having previously announced an unconditional poll alliance with Tdp when Naidu faced legal issues. Pawan is actively pursuing the inclusion of BJP into the JS-Tdp alliance, viewing it as a strategic move to challenge the YSRCP. His upcoming visit to Delhi in January aims to meet BJP leaders and present his proposal.

In contrast, sources indicate that the Congress is strategizing to counter the BJP through the INDIA alliance, aiming to unite all opposition parties. The BJP high command has delegated the task of gauging alliance possibilities in Andhra Pradesh to three national leaders. The majority of state BJP leaders reportedly favor a saffron alliance with Tdp-Jana Sena, as suggested in their report submitted to the Prime Minister's office. The final decision rests with discussions in the BJP parliamentary board, with an anticipated announcement on alliance plans in Andhra Pradesh by the Sankranti festival, in light of the imminent release of YSR Congress candidates' list. The BJP is reportedly seeking six Lok Sabha and 20 assembly seats where it stands a chance of winning.
