Kangana Ranaut Tejas Braces For OTT Premieres

Tejas gets its OTT date. Kangana Ranaut recently showcased her versatility by donning the Indian Air Force uniform in the action-packed thriller, "Tejas." Despite her commendable dedication to the film, which was widely praised, the box office performance on its October 27 release left much to be desired. The film faced stiff competition from Vikrant Massey's "12th Fail," both hitting theaters on the same day. Consequently, "Tejas," with Anshul Chauhan and Varun Mitra in supporting roles, reportedly grossed a mere $700,000 worldwide against its substantial $8.8 million budget.

However, all is not lost for "Tejas" as it gears up for a digital release on the OTT platform Zee5 on January 5. This presents a second chance for audiences who missed the theatrical run to experience Kangana's riveting performance on the first Saturday of the new year.

Crafted under the direction and writing of Sarvesh Mewara, with production credits to Ronnie Screwwala, "Tejas" unfolds the gripping tale inspired by the real-life Air Force pilot, Tejas Gill.

Before its release, the makers organized a special screening for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film.

Looking ahead, Kangana Ranaut's upcoming venture is "Emergency," where she steps into the shoes of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film boasts a stellar cast, with Anupam Kher and Manisha Koirala in supporting roles, promising another intriguing cinematic experience.
