Sandeep shocking revelation about Animal. Sandeep Reddy Vanga's upcoming film, "Animal," marks the first collaboration between Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. However, an interesting revelation came to light as the director shared that Parineeti Chopra was initially his first choice for the movie. The disclosure emerged during a candid conversation with Komal Nahta, where Sandeep candidly admitted his mistake and recounted the incident.
Expressing remorse, Sandeep acknowledged, "Actually, galti mera hi hai. I said, ‘Ho sake toh maaf karo mujhe (It's my fault. I told her to forgive me)." He went on to explain that he had signed Parineeti Chopra for the role a year and a half before the commencement of the shoot. However, he candidly admitted that, for some reason, he failed to envision the character of Geetanjali in her. Sandeep philosophically remarked, "Kuch kuch characters kuch kuch logo ko set nahi hota hai (Some things are not meant to be).”
Opening up about his casting decisions, Sandeep emphasized that he does not believe in auditions and relies solely on his instincts. Despite always admiring Parineeti's acting and harboring a desire to cast her as Preeti in "Kabir Singh," circumstances did not align at that time. He expressed that working with Parineeti had always been a long-standing aspiration.
In a forthright conversation with Parineeti, Sandeep conveyed his decision to cast another artist, emphasizing, "Sorry, nothing is bigger than the film. So I’m taking this decision and going ahead with another artist." Although Parineeti felt disheartened initially, she understood the rationale behind Sandeep's choice. The director's transparency and respect for the filmmaking process underscore the complexities of casting decisions and the delicate balance between artistic vision and practical considerations.
