Thalapathy 69 To Be Helmed By Karthik Subbaraj

Thalapathy Vijay has been at his peak of his career delivering continuous blockbusters. His stardom has reached to a level where his average films too becoming money spinners at the boxoffice. For instance, his last release, Leo with director Lokesh Kanagaraj was released amidst huge hype but opened to mixed reviews. But, nothing stopped the film from collecting Rs 600 crores in its full run. 

Vijay is currently doing his 68th film with Director Venkat Prabhu where he is playing a father, son dual role. Now, reports are rife that he has gave his nod to his next, Thalapathy 69 with immensely talented director Karthik Subbaraj. The buzz is strong that Vijay is all set to collaborate with Karthik Subbaraj.

According to sources, Karthik Subbaraj has already narrated a script to Vijay, who was impressed by the unique storyline and the director’s vision. The duo is in the final stage of discussions and will soon finalize the deal. The film is likely to be produced by Sun Pictures, who have earlier bankrolled Vijay’s Sarkar and Karthik Subbaraj’s Petta.

Karthik Subbaraj, is enjoying the success of his latest release, Jigarthanda Double X, starring Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah. The film is a sequel to his cult classic Jigarthanda, and has received rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
