Singer Theertha Subhash retracts on Yash cameo in Salaar. Ever since Prashanth Neel unveiled the much-anticipated Salaar, speculations about a possible crossover with KGF have intrigued fans. As the KGF and KGF 2 achieved monumental success, the question lingered: would Yash make a cameo appearance alongside Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan in Salaar? While the makers maintained a tight-lipped stance on the matter, a recent slip by singer Theertha Subhash during a media interaction fueled the fire.

Post her victory in a singing competition in Kerala, Theertha unintentionally spilled the beans about her involvement in Salaar, mentioning that she would be singing for the film, which also stars 'Yash uncle.' This inadvertent revelation led many to believe that Yash's iconic character, Rocky Bhai, might indeed make an appearance in Salaar.

However, Theertha promptly took to social media to address the misunderstanding and dispel rumors. In her clarification, she shared, "I have seen KGF many times. My father mentioned to me that the team of Salaar was the same ones who made KGF. So, I assumed that Yash uncle will also be in Salaar." Her parents corroborated her statement, emphasizing that her mix-up was due to the frequent mention of Yash's name in discussions about KGF.

Despite the accidental speculation, it's essential to note that Salaar remains an original project. Producer Vijay debunked rumors suggesting a remake of Prashanth Neel's earlier film, Ugramm, and affirmed that Salaar is a standalone narrative. Originally slated for a September release, the film's unveiling was postponed to December 22, attributed to delays in post-production. The chosen release date aligns with astrological considerations, adding an intriguing facet to the film's journey toward its much-anticipated premiere.
