Bobby Deol Speaks About His Anarchic Scene In Animal

Sandeep Vanga directorial Animal outstandingly headlined by Ranbir Kapoor has been hit the marquee since it's release. On one side it is toppling boxoffice records with each passing day and on the other side it is facing severe criticism calling the lead character misogynist, and unbalanced. Despite all the criticism, Animal went on becoming a huge blockbuster raking in Rs 737 Crores gross globally in its 11 days. 

Bobby Deol is the villain in the film who has played the role of Abrar Haq. Though he has only a few scenes in the film, he made an impact with his performance and character. His character delivered many shocking moments without speaking a word. One of them is the marital rape scene. In a recent interview, the Bobby opened up about the same.

Bobby Deol spoke about the marital rape scene in Animal and stated that he had no inhibitions filming it. He stated that from the time he heard of the character Abrar, he knew that he will be able to do a lot without even speaking a word. His character is mute in the film. Bobby Deol stated that not speaking a word gave him energy. He described his character as 'savage' and 'evil' and stated that he treats his women like that.

Bobby Deol is quite happy that the film and his role has received such a tremendous response. Recently, he expressed his gratitude when he bumped into the paparazzi and was in tears. Domestically, Animal is nearing Rs 500 crore. It has become one of the highest grossing films of the year 2023 after Jawan, Gadar 2 and Pathaan. Ranbir Kapoor has scores the much-needed ega blockbuster with Animal.
