Animal Breaches 200 Crore Mark In India In 3 Days

Ranbir Kapoor' 'Animal' directed by Sandeep Vanga is the new boxoffice juggernaut. The film which was released with huge hype impressed audiences amidst strong remarks from a set of audiences calling it misogynist and extremely violent. But, the film satisfied major audience and the boxoffice numbers prove that point. After terrific two days, Animal broke more box office records on Sunday.

Animal surpassed three-day collection of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan, although it fell short of the record set by another Shahrukh Khan's film Jawan. Animal also emerged as the second film of the year, after Jawan, to enter Rs 200 crore club in India and Rs 350 cr club worldwide within three days. 

On its third day, Animal raked in Rs 73 crores in the domestic market. Thus, Animal’s three-day domestic nett collection reached Rs 203 crore, just behind of Jawan’s Rs 206 crore crossing Pathan’s Rs 167 crore. But, Pathan is a Wednesday release and Jawan, a Thursday release while Animal released on Friday.

Coming to the worldwide gross, Animal stands at Rs 360 crore in its three days. The film crossed $ 6 Million at USA boxoffice. Apart from Ranbir, 'Animal' has Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol in other key roles.
