Rajinikanth who has scored his career biggest blockbuster Jailer is now gearing up with his next, Lal Salaam which happens to be the directorial of his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth. Lyca Productions is producing this film where Rajinikanth will be seen in an extended guest role. Rajinikanth is playing as Moideen Bhai, a don based on Mumbai in Lal Salaam.
Rajinikanth has completed shooting for his part and is now moved to Thalaivar 170. Shocking reports about Lal Salaam are circulating since yesterday. It is being said that crucial scenes canned on Rajinikanth are now missing from the hard disks. Team is trying every option and even contacted foreign experts tor retrieve the lost scenes, data from the hard disk.
Lal Salaam has Vikranth and Vishnu Vishal in lead roles. The film has cricket and religious conflicts as the backdrop. Some reports suggest that it is inspired from Bollywood film, 'Kai Po Che' starring late Sushanth Singh Rajput which was based on Chethan Bhagat's book 'Three Mistakes Of My Life'.

Now, as the issue arises that some crucial scenes involving Rajini are missed, team is moving the film away from Pongal. It is being said that this is the reason behind sudden Postponement of Dhanush's 'Captain Miller' from December to Pongal as 'Lal Salaam' is unable to make it for Pongal.
