Chiyaan Vikram, the versatile actor whonis known for living in multifaceted roles has earned a special place in Tollywood. His Shiva Putrudu and Aparichitudu became huge blockbusters in Telugu earning him fame and name. His next films used to get big openings. His I film directed by Shankar also registered huge numbers in Telugu.
Now he has joined forces with director Pa Ranjith for the eagerly anticipated pan-Indian period drama, "Thangalaan." The film is set to release in theaters on January 26, 2024. The recently unveiled teaser captivates the audience with its sheer intensity. Vikram's portrayal exudes rawness, rustic charm, and brutality, immersing viewers into the world of the Kolar Gold Fields.
Vikram Has No Dialogues
During the teaser launch Vikram revealed that his character in the film will have no dialogues just like he did in national award winning performance in Shiva Puthrudu / Pithamagan. This comes as a shocker as already Vikram looks in a primitive role as a chief of a lost tribe who fight to protect their lands from foreigners with greed and power.
The film is set against the backdrop of the Kolar Gold Fields, and it delves into the rugged lifestyle of its inhabitants, portraying their relentless struggle for survival and, ultimately, their fight for freedom. The teaser's impact is further heightened by the exceptional musical score composed by GV Prakash Kumar, while cinematographer Kishor Kumar's visuals are breathtaking. The film's ensemble cast includes Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone, and others.
