As they shoot their respective portions for this highly anticipated project, their collaboration has created quite a buzz. On October 25, Rajinikanth, known for his social media presence, took to his X (formerly Twitter) page to share a behind-the-scenes picture from the film's set. In a touching caption, he referred to Amitabh Bachchan as 'his mentor.' Amitabh Bachchan, in response, had words of admiration for his esteemed colleague.

This reunion marks a significant moment, as Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan last shared the screen in the Hindi film 'Hum,' released in 1991, which makes it a remarkable 33-year gap between their collaborations. Rajinikanth's social media post on October 25, featuring a picture with Amitabh Bachchan, sent the internet into a frenzy. In his caption, Rajinikanth not only shared a camaraderie of admiration but also referred to Big B as 'his mentor.' In response, Amitabh Bachchan reciprocated with warm words, calling Rajinikanth a 'leader, head, and chief,' and expressed his great honor in working with him again.

In another post, Amitabh Bachchan shared a black-and-white picture alongside Rajinikanth and humorously noted that Rajinikanth hasn't aged a bit.

Following the success of 'Jailer,' Rajinikanth commenced shooting for 'Thalaivar 170' in Trivandrum, Kerala. In a recent media interaction, he revealed that this upcoming film is a big-budget commercial entertainer with a strong underlying message.The ensemble cast of 'Thalaivar 170' is impressive and includes stars like Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rakshan, and GM Soundar in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Lyca Productions and is both written and directed by TJ Gnanavel. With technical talents like composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer SR Kathir, and editor Philomin Raj on board, 'Thalaivar 170' promises to be a cinematic spectacle.
