Malayalam director Siddique breathes his last. Popular director Siddique (63) passed away leaving the entire film fraternity in a state of shock. Siddique was born as Siddique Ismail and made his debut with the Malayalam movie Ramji Rao Speaking in 1989. As a screenwriter, he made his debut in the Malayalam movie Pappan Priyappetta Pappan in 1986.
He shot to fame with films like Godfather, Hitler, Big Brother, Kabuliwala Friends, and others. He made his Bollywood debut directing Salman Khan's Bodyguard. His film Big Brother with Mohan Lal also got dubbed and released in Telugu.
He was admitted on July 10 following non-alcoholic liver cirrhosis. He suffered a heart attack on Sunday. He was suffering from liver failure too and was recommended a liver transplant. Doctors put him on the support of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
The entire film industry is in a state of shock and condolences are pouring in from all quarters. Cinejosh expresses its shock and offers its condolences to the bereaved family members.
