Harudu (2026) Movie: Story Review

Harudu story revolves around the happenings in the life of the honest police officer and how he deals with them in various cities. Independent MLA Varadarajulu (Sreehari Paila) goes to any extent and even questions CM (Suman) for the good of the poor and downtrodden and DCP Shankar (Venkat) is out to eliminate criminals in his own style.

What happens when drug peddlers and unemloyed youth Aditya, Priyanka, Balaraju, Vicky, Mounika get into dirty fight and where this leads to and what role SI Subhasree, Venkat's wife Priya (Natasha Singh), Mumbai don Rajan (Ravi Varma) form the twist in the developments.

Harudu Movie Hero Venkat is ok in the role of the DCP. He came up with a singular and serious expression and his body language is ok on the screen. Srihari Paila played an important role.

Suman and Ravi Varma played small roles. There are many other actors in the film and all of them Hebah Patel, Saloni Aswani, Natasha Singh, Ali, Subhasree, Ravinder Reddy, Shaani, Vedvika, Chandinirao, Adithya, Sunny, Sammeta Gandhi got inconsequential roles.

Harudu story is written by Raj Thalluri. He tried to attract viewers with an action entertainer. He failed completely with the way he started the proceedings and he continues in the same mannner throughout the first half. The flashback action scenes though predictable turns the film racy. Many expected a better second half but once again, he came up with silly and senseless scenes irritating the viewers.

His screenplay turned out to be senseless while direction turned rudderless. One gets a feeling that he is out only to murder movie lovers with his so called creative scenes.

Uppu Maruthi failed completely as an editor. Though he couldn't be faulted as the story is senseless, he still left many ridiculous scenes. Anandmarukurthi's cinematography is below average. The music of Manizenna left a lot to be desired and so too is the background music. Dialogues are in bad taste and most of them are loaded with double meaning. Production values are just ok.

Altogether, Harudu turns out to be an atrocious action entertainer. Raj Thalluri tried to thrill viewers with action entertainer but he failed in his attempt completely. The starting scenes itself puts off viewers and from then on it turns out to be a tedious watch. The predictable flashback and the episodes in the second half makes viewers run for cover. There is no respite to the viewers as Raj Thalluri comes with scenes that defies logic and gives immese torture. The story is extremely weak and screenplay and direction is atrocious. Considering all these points, Cinejosh goes with a 1 rating for Harudu.
