Behind the Movie “Village Lo Vinayakudu”: “Vinayakudu” was a quality product from Sai Kiran Adivi and has been declared as a neat and clean entertainer for which Sai Kiran Adivi has even won the Best Debut Director 2008 Nandi Award. Music, Story, Romance and all in all Hero Krishnudu turned out to be a splendid man in the movie. With expectations of having the same charm as “(V)Win Nayakudu”, this “Village Lo Vinayakudu” has been hailed as a sequel to the earlier. Musically the movie has made its mark already with “Neeli Meghamaa…”

In the Movie “Village Lo Vinayakudu”: Movie starts on an important note by introducing the happy and cheerful family and family members of Retired Colonel Laxmipathi Raju (Rao Ramesh) in Rajolu, Konaseema. Laxmipathy’s cute daughter Kavya (Saranya Mohan), a medico resides in the city with roommate Chinnu aka Karthik (Krishnudu), a kindergarten teacher. Obviously they are in love but Laxmipathy starts hunting a groom for his daughter with help of his friend Bhaskaram (Yandamuri Veerendranath). Being an army man, Laxmipathy reject all the grooms in search of perfection and attitude. When Kavya unable to express their love to his father, Chinnu enters Rajolu to win his love and marry her with approval of the family members. Did Chinnu achieve this? What type of problems did he face with his ONLY & ONLY fat body? Did he able to overcome his opponent groom in Army Officer Bharath (Dr.Bharath Reddy)? Has to be watched on the screen.

Values of the Movie “Village Lo Vinayakudu”: Mahi, the Producer and Storywriter of the movie have picked up a routine storyline which has nothing innovative. Excepet few tickles here and there, movie has nothing special to offer. If you have expected to watch one more “Vinayakudu” then it is not so. First half of the movie is just meant to entertain the audience with some unnecessary comic scenes which are pulled beyond the “elastic point”. Even the script & direction by Sai Kiran Adivi was so sluggish that it feels as if you are going on tank bund “Vinayaka” Immersion festival. Second half gets a bit quicker and movie rolls on with few interesting points like “Bongulo Chicken”, “Multiple Embryo Illusionary Disorder” making you smile here and there by the sake of Yandamuri. Krishnudu, the hero of this movie has just portrayed a role that is an extension of “Vinayakudu”. With his innocent facial expressions and straight forward dialogue delivery, he was partially successful as a hero. Especially Krishnudu was at his best in songs like “Spiderman brother ni...”Saranya Mohan, the new girl in Tollywood is the perfect choice for the movie. Saranya matched like a rat besides elephantish Krishnudu, thus fulfilling the director’s point, but she looked too tender to act in movies as a heroine. Rao Ramesh, the protagonist father has excelled but certainly this man has huge potential than this half cooked role. Yandamuri Veerendranath is the surprise package who tried to give publicity to his style of psychiatry using Puzzles. Music by Manikanth Kadri was good only for two songs and background score was just pale. Editing by Marthand Venkatesh is okay in second half. Camerawork was not at all impressive when it comes to showcasing the eternal beauties of Konasema. Producer Mahi is to be appreciated for selecting a daring venture with no enough substance to enrich. There is nothing high on production side as movie was entirely shot in and around Rajolu and Dindi in East Godavari district.

Out of the Movie “Village Lo Vinayakudu”: Sai Kiran Adivi along with Mahi has picked an inconvincible subject trying to convince the audience but his convincing abilities remained largely inconvincible, thus making only few convincible and unconvincing many. Biggest differences between “Vinayakudu” and “Village Lo Vinayakudu” are five:
a)    Script work in “Vinayakudu” was modern while in “Village Lo Vinayakudu” was rotten.
b)    Director with a touch of midas has made the audience to think twice by creating fun only and only on the fat element of Krishnudu…which is indigestible.
c)    With movies run of just nearly two hours, whole of the first half was clearly filled with unnecessary stuff only with an intention just to make the show run, which was not the case with “Vinayakudu.”
d)    The much needed chemistry to get the feel of Love and Romance between hero and heroine was totally faltered, which was not again the case with “Vinayakudu.” “Village Lo Vinayakudu” create confusion with the very first instance of their love story
e)    Poonam Kaur in “Vinayakudu” provided enough entertainment and spice to the movie. Sai Kiran Adivi entirely missed that element here.

Movie scores on some points like “Live life by choice but not chance”, Sentiment between a elderly fathers and growing up children and few more. Overall it was not at all a treat as tasteful as “Vinayakudu”, reason mainly attributed to sluggish script, low momentum and immature behavior of matured characters. With major part of the movie being shot within the house of Rao Ramesh, Director and Cameraman was never able to bring the grand picturesque of Konaseema onto the silver screen. So, the movie remains partially apt for its title “Village Lo Vinayakudu” and fully correct for “Intlo Vinayakudu”.

Cine Josh “Village Lo Vinayakudu” verdict: As movie is not convinced to be other “(V)Win Nayakudu”, with an expectation by audience it may have a decent first two to three days run at “A” centres with an average verdict but may turn out to be a disaster in “B” & “C” Class centres with below average talk.
