Rudrudu : What's Behind

Raghava Lawrence known for his mass action entertainers is coming with his bilingual entertainer Rudhrudu. The film directed by Kathiresan has all the commercial elements as seen in the teasers and the trailers. The film's OTT rights have been bagged by Disney+Hotstar and the streaming will be done after the end of its theatrical run. Let us find out whether Rudhrudu made people roar with joy in theatres.

Rudrudu Story Review

Rudhrudu story is all about a youngster's love for his parents and how he takes care of his family when encountered with difficult situations and how he reacts when faced with tough challenges. Software Engineer Rudhra(Raghava Lawrence) lives happily with his parents Devraj(Nassar) and Indrani(Poornima Bhagyaraj). He falls in love with beautiful looking Dr.Ananya(Priya Bhavani Shankar) and soon gets married. But their happy life is rocked and to find out the reason behind it and how am influential goon Bhoomi(Sarath Kumar) is connected to it, watch Rudhrudu on screen. Rudrudu : Artists Review Raghava Lawrence played the role that had all the elements which highlights his mass image. Lawrence's trademark antics attracts masses and he danced with full energy. He emoted well and performed high octane stunts. But he went over the top and this is irritates movie lovers. Sarath Kumar played the role of the antagonist. He performed well and his screen presence made an impact though the role is routine and he didn't get much scope to show variations. Priya Bhavani Shankar looked cute and beautiful on screen and did full justice to her role. Nassar and Poornima Bhagyaraj played the role of parents quite well. Kaali Venkat is good in the role of the friend.

Rudrudu : Technicians Review

Rudhrudu story readied by Kathiresan is routine to the core. He tried to elevate Raghava Lawrence 's heroism among masses by including all commerical elements. In the process the story has taken a bearing. He showed the Vizag backdrop and for the entire first half, he spent only on elevating the heroism by incuding intense action sequences. Only after the first half, the real story is narrated. The second half creates little interest with an interesting twist. Though the premise increases the curiosity levels with Kathiresan concentrating on mass commerical elements, everything is lost. The climax is intense and action packed and the story ends in a predictable manner. Kathiresan highlights Raghava Lawrence showing his antics and trademark mannerisms in the first half. Most of the time, Lawrence went loud and is over the top. In the second half, after an interesting twist, the narration takes a predictable course with screenplay and direction coming up with routine colours. The editing of Anthony could have been better as there are many repetitive scenes. Rajasekhar 's Cinematography is ok and is in sync with the story. GV.Prakash Kumar,Dharan Kumar, OlRo came up with mass beats and choreography of one song is very good. Dialogues are just ok. Background score of Sam.CS elevated the scenes but most of the times it is loud. Stunt choreography is intense and appeals to masses. Production values are good.

Rudrudu Movie Rating Analysis

Altogether, Rudhrudu is a routine mass entrainer tried to touch a valid and interesting point and highlight how criminals find ways to make money targeting the innocents. But his point is washed in routine elements impacting the film's overall result. Lawrence is known for his love for mass movies and Kathiresan came up with the story suited for him. Lawrence dreamed of doing mass entertainers and roped Stunt Shiva who worked for Balakrishna's Akhanda. So stunts look similar to Balakrishna's stunts in various films. Raghava Lawrence expressed his desire to do a mass entertainer and went on record that he watched Akhanda many times. But he should realise that action sequences alone will not save the film. Had Kathiresan worked on the story and screenplay and fine tuned it accordingly , balancing it with interesting elements and twists, result would have been different. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 1 rating for Rudhrudu.
