Story Review

Happy go-lucky guy, Akshay's likes change with each passing second. He dreams of becoming a rock star and on pressure, he joins engineering at LIT Engineering College. He happens to get attracted to the beautiful girl Kavya (Anupama Parameswaran), a medio at BMC medical college. He comes to know that she is elder to him and there is a longstanding rivalry between LIT ad BMC colleges. Where this leads to should be enjoyed on the silver screen.

Artists, Technicians Review

Sriharsha Konuganti tried to elevate Ashish Reddy's heroics in a youthful romantic entertainer. He selected a college backdrop and within minutes into the narration, one gets a feeling of hit films like Prema Desam. The similarities and predictable scenes and narration robbed the viewers of watching anything new. The entire first half drags with routine and predictable college scenes and ends in a typical manner. The second half passes in a similar manner with no real twists and turns and finally, the film ends on a happy note. Sriharsha Konuganti failed with his story, screenplay, and direction and with his execution.

Ashish Reddy on debut performed well. He came with an energetic performance and it appeals to youngsters and Genex movie lovers. He attracted with his dances and stunts and tried his best to impress with his expressions and emotions. However, he should work hard on his expressions and emotions to reach the next level. Anupama Parameswaran looked cute and gorgeous. She killed with her expressions and expressive eyes. Her red hot liplocks set the screens on fire.

Srikanth Iyengar and others performed accordingly. Newcomers like  Karthik Ratnam, Sahidev, Tej Kurapati, Komalee Prasad complemented each other with their performances.

Devi Sri Prasad came with foot tapping music and tunes for the film. Background music is good. Madhie, Vijay Chakravarthi and Guhan handled the cinematography. They gave the film a grand look with beautiful visuals. Editing of Madhu could have been better. There are many drags and repetitive scenes. The routiness spoiled the film's flow. Production values are grand.

Dil Raju's nephew Ashish Reddy's debut film Rowdy Boys attracted with a powerful title. However, into the film's narration, the film turned out to be clumsy boys. Sriharsha Konuganti with his amateurish story and screenplay and listless direction and narration failed in his execution. Considering all these aspects CJ goes with a 2 rating for Rowdy Boys.
