Pattudala (2025) Movie: What's Behind

Ajith is popular for his action entertainers and he is getting ready to show his power with his film Vidaamuyarchi. The film is releasing in Telugu as Pattudala and is helmed by Magizh Thirumeni. The film is releasing on 6 Feb 2025 and OTT partner is Netflix.

Ajith's Pattudala Movie: Story Review

Pattudala story is all about a married couple who have strained relationship and how they deal with the mysterious happenings in their road trip. Arjun (Ajith) and Kayal (Trisha) love marriage hits a roadblock and on the verge of divorce, Arjun volunteers to drop Kayal at her mother's place.

However their road journey is full of surprises and where this leads to and how Rakshith (Arjun Sarja) and his wife Deepika (Regina Cassandra) are related form rest of the narration.

Ajith kumar's Pattudala: Artists Review

Ajith Kumar as usual with his style, grace and salt and pepper look tried to elevate the scenes with his screen presence. However there is nothing much to perform for him as the role didn't offer anything to show his acting talent with his extraordinary performance. He asusual came up subtle expressions and emotions.

Trisha looked good on the screen and she impresses with her looks. She was present all over the first half but suddenly she disappears from the entire second half mysteriously.

For all the screen presence, Ajith and Trisha got nothing much substantial to go on screen.

Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra also played important roles showing off their negative shades and they did tried their best. Others performed according to their roles.

Vidaamuyarchi Aka Pattudala: Technicians Review

Director Magizh Thirumeni tried to enthral movie lovers showing Ajith and Trisha in a action packed emotional adventurous road trip. But despite drawing inspiration from Hollywood film Breakdown, and trying to include strong emotions, he failed to make an impact.

All the scenes right from the start to the finish looked similar to the road trip stories and Pattudala/ Vidaamuyarchi offered nothing different. The first half looked incoherent with the emotional and love scenes turning monotonous and flashback episodes bereft of any excitement.

The entire first half is slow paced and except for the pre interval and interval sequences and this keeps interest in the second half. But the second half nose dives much to the disappointment of all.

Magizh Thirumeni's story turned out to be routine and offered nothing much to the viewers. With no story, the weak characterisations didn't help the cause any more. The second half turned out to be utter disappointment with missing action.

The director is responsible for the weak story, poor screenplay and missing elements that impacted his direction. The Climax turned out to be out of sync and lacks reality.

Much to the shock of all, Anirudh Ravichander failed to make an impact. His songs did not get registered while he failed to elevate the scenes with his background music. Om Prakash's cinematography is good and showed the scenes in a lavish and visually appealing manner. NB.Srikanth's editing left a lot to be desired. There are many scenes especially in the second half that tested the patience of the viewers. Production values are good.

Pattudala (Vidaamuyarchi): Advantages

  • Ajith Screen Presence
  • Pre Interval Scenes

Pattudala (Vidaamuyarchi): Disadvantages

  • Forced Emotional Quotient
  • Missing Twists
  • Character Arcs
  • Weak Climax

Vidaamuyarchi (Pattudala}: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Pattudala happens to be a spineless, soul less action thriller. Despite the talented cast of Ajith, Trisha, Arjun Sarja and Regina Cassandra, director Magizh Thirumeni failed to come up with a powerful action packed emotional entertainer. His story offered nothing new and screenplay and direction didn't offer much to rave about. Even the fine-tuning of the script wouldn't have helped the final outcome. The weak characterisations played the spoilsport. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Pattudala
