Behind the Movie Nuvvilaa: There are always a set of target audience who like the treatment of Ravi Babu. Here comes one more from him with Ramoji Rao as producer. Let us see, how far ‘Nuvvilaa’ fits into this present trend.
In The Movie Nuvvilaa: Story is about three teenage friends Anand (Ajay), Raju (Prasad) and Mahesh (Havish) working together in Pizza Hut. Each of them has a girl in their life and also surrounding problems.
First is, Anand takes a break from studies after completing his plus two is in love with his neighborhood family’s guest Archana (Yami). As both of them become good friends, she tells him about being in love with smashing young cricketer Vishnu. By the time Archana gets pregnant, Vishnu dies of cardiac arrest. So, Anand takes the burden of Archana.
Second is, Raju or Fidel Raju arrived in city to join as a Fidel Player in any of the Musical orchestra. He accidentally meets Rani (Ramya), childhood’s friendly enemy who is trying to enter into TV circuit with a Kitchen program. They both dislike each other. In an imminent situation to escape from SI Ranjith Kumar (Ravi Babu), they get married in Police Station. On filing for divorce, Judge gives them a chance to rethink on their decision and come back to him after six months.
Third is, Mahesh has a goal to become super model is in love with Madhavi (Sarayu). They break up on a silly issue and Mahesh is haunted by a gay Shailu (Haleem).
Finally, how did Anand and Archana; Raju and Rani; Mahesh and Madhavi succeed in their love forms the climax.
Values and Out of the Movie Nuvvilaa: For all those who already have a firm idea on Ravi Babu’s handling, this movie could be an entertainer with ups and down in tempo. Each of the love stories mentioned above is dealt in depth while maximum score on emotions and entertainment can be offered to Archana-Anand. Vulgar and adult dosed gay comedy in Mahesh-Madhavi love subject is irritating. Raju-Rani were really cute as comedy worked out on these two went on humorous. Performance wise, although new comers they have done a decent job. None of them have an idea about voice modulations as feel in the dialogues was very raw.
Comedy is worked out in bits and pieces. Ravi Babu’s dialogues have a peculiar punch that raised instant laughs. First half goes on at a brisk pace while second half is lagged due to the exhaustive episodes of Gay comedy and dying of Vishnu. By climax, movie picks up again to end up on a happy note. Music by Sekhar Chandra is again catchy for title song that has lyrics written by Bhaskara Bhatla. Next is Sudhakar Reddy’s cinematography gave bright visuals and editing by Marthand Vekatesh was razor sharp. If few more bits of Ravi Babu tinge would have been added to script in second half, Nuvvilaa could have been better.
Entire film looks to be shot in RFC which means movie is wrapped upon a disciplined budget. Yet film looks to be a quality product highlighting the standards of Ushakiran Movies. Commercial success of ‘Nuvvilaa’ is doubtful because of insignificant star cast and nothing to cater for B & C center audience. Finally, movie is a youthful entertainer with some good faces best served for urban audience.
Cinejosh Verdict of the Movie Nuvvilaa: Time Pass Product.
