Behind the Movie Mogudu: Director Krishna Vamsi has a typical style of his own in Tollywood. He joins with Gopichand and Tapsee for the flick based on traditional concept of marriage. Music from Babu Shankar already getting some rave reviews let us see how good is this ‘Mogudu’?

In The Moive Mogudu: Humanitarian Anjaneya Prasad (Rajendra Prasad) holds an admirable position in Hyderabad for his good deeds. After loosing the wife, he is survived by three daughters, three son-in-laws, grand children, one and only son Ram Prasad fondly called as Bujji (Gopichand), working for Mercedes Benz. Anjaneya Prasad has immense respect for our traditional marriage system and he is in search of a good bride for his son Bujji, who falls instantly in love with innocent Raja Rajeshwari (Tapsee).

With in no time, Bujji and Rajeshwari’s marriage is settled with consent from both the families. Rajeshwari’s mother is politician Chamundeshwari (Roja) and is her henpecked husband (Naresh). ‘Achcha’ Telugu wedding completes on a grand note and during the final moment of ‘Bidaai,’ misunderstandings brew between both the families on a foolish issue leading to separation and then divorce.

To relax from these family problems, Bujji leaves to Mauritus and en-route meets his old friend Jo aka Jyotsna (Shraddha Das). Unable to forget Bujji even Rajeshwari travels to Mauritius where both of them re-unite and then re-marry. Once they are back in Hyderabad how did both these families react, did they accept the love and marriage between Bujji and Rajeshwari…form rest of the climax!

Values of the Movie Mogudu: Director Krishna Vamsi’s films hold significant value in content and narration has gone distracted in this case. His script lacked the essence with extended melodrama and prolonged scenes. Dialogues by Bheem sparkled occasionally. Editing by Gowtham Raju should have been better. One department that scores maximum for visual appeal is cinematography by Srikanth Naroju. His work is just top notch. Music by Babu Shankar was good work in couple of songs. Production values are very good.

Performance wise Gopichand well maintained the balance between family emotions and romantic moments. Tapsee looked hot getting into a performance oriented character. Though not totally perfect, she has done a better job. Shraddha Das has got an apt role. Rajendra Prasad was superb while Roja has shown her vigor followed by Naresh’s sensible action. Remaining others lived to their best.

Out of the Movie Mogudu: Story and Script of Krishna Vamsi went wrong at many occasions. Sole purpose of movie isn’t clearly understood yet happiness in a Joint Family, Value of our Marriage System is well established on the screen. Some where down the line, regular tinge of KV was missing with boring episodes in first half while second half runs purely on family drama that worked to an extent. Climax was regular. Songs are not to disappoint in picturization. Lip sync was totally missing. DI work was extra ordinary. Box Office wise, there are less chances of ‘Mogudu’ to survive for a long period.

Cinejosh Verdict of the Movie Mogudu: Lacking in Krishna Vamsi Style!
