Sandalwood star Dhruva Sarja, nephew of Action King Arjun is coming to entertain movie lovers with action entertainer Martin which is releasing in various Indian and foreign languages on 11 October 2024. Let us find out what Dhruva offered to viewers with Martin.
Martin story revolves around a person who forgets everything and gets caught by Pakistani authorities and the developments that follows thereafter. A macho looking Indian (Dhruva Sarja) gets caught in Pakistan and the authorities brand him as the most dangerous and shift him to the cell. Upon investigation it was found he lost his memory.
He escapes in search of identity and where this leads to and who is Customs Officer Arjun (Dhruva Sarja), Dreaded don Martin (Dhruva Sarja), Preeti (Vaibhavi Shandilya) from the interesting part of the plot.
Dhruva Sarja played dual role in the film and his appearance shocks all. He bulked up for one role and in other role he tried to be lean and slim. He looked monstrous and but failed to get the basic expressions right. His dubbing and dialogue delivery failed to make any impact and to the top of it, it looked he went over board in most of the scenes. He enacted daredevilry stunts to leave all stunned.
Vaibhavi Shandilya played the female lead and she failed to express herself on the screen. She came up with blank face most of the time. Others like Anveshi Jain, Sukrutha Wagle, Achyuth Kumar and Nikitin Dheer got limited screen presence and they failed to make an impression.
Martin story is provided by action king Arjun. He loaded the entire film with action sequences rather than any interesting twists and turns. While the story turned out to be weak, AP.Arjun's screenplay and direction turned out to be miserable. Arjun drew inspiration from many Hollywood action flicks but however in the end ended up turning Martin into a cheap and substandard imitation rather than offering something new and quality output.
Mani Sharma's music turned out to be below ordinary. His songs failed to attract. Ravi Basrur's background music is thumping and turned out to be extremely loud. Cinematography of Satya Hegde is ok. Editing of KM.Prakash, Mahesh.S Reddy left a lot to be desired. The graphics and VFX are substandard. Production values are below average.
Altogether, Martin turns out to be substandard action flick. Dhruva Sarja put in lot of effort but weak story, characterisation and screenplay and cheap imitation and weak graphics dampened the spirits. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Martin.
