Behind the Movie Ladies and Gentlemen: Producer and director Madhura Sreedhar Reddy is touching various new subjects but unable to deliver a successful film till date. He is here with a bold new concept based on current generation and their usage of internet, social networking sites. Let us see, how great was the plot and execution?

In the Movie Ladies and Gentlemen: Story begins with Puri Jagannath voice-over explaining about the lives of people involved in three separate stories and the way Internet played a spoil-sport. Those three stories are as follows:

1. Krishna Murthy (Chaitanya Krishna), an Engineering student is dying to find a girl friend. After lot many trials on Facebook, finally Deepa (Swathi Deekshit) becomes his friend first and then girl friend later. At a time when Murthy is placed in TCS through campus recruitment, tragedy strikes his life through Deepa.

2. Anand (Kamal Kamaraju), a busy Software Entrepreneur isn’t spending enough time with wife Priya (Nikitha Narayan). This neglection from husband takes Priya close to her ex-boy friend Rahul (Adivi Sesh), who traces Priya through Facebook. Old romantic relation re-builds between Priya and Rahul finally leading to a shocking twist taking Priya into a mental illness.

3. Vijay (Mahat Raghavendra), working for a BPO leads rich life above his financial standards maintaining a costly model Anjali (Jasmine Bhasin) as girl friend. He is forced into Cyber Crimes like hacking the Credit Card information from e-commerce portals resulting in a grievous ill fate.

Values of the Movie Ladies and Gentlemen: Story provided by Sanjeev Reddy is quite unique showcasing the advantages, disadvantages of Technology, Internet and their usage, misusage by modern day youth. Although reality is hard to digest, screenplay and direction of PB Manjunath added the much needed cinematic sense to a realistic storyline. However, narration lacked in pace and execution missed in soul to make viewers sit uncomfortably. Still, this is a bold, meaningful attempt for which entire team is appreciable. Sunny MR’s BGM was impropriety with the situation and scene. Raghu Kunche score for songs is relatively better. Jagan Chavali’s camera work is decent while editing of Naveen Nuli showed the real spark in last 30 minutes or so. Dialogues from Nivas are naturalistic and interesting. However, a pinch of humor added could have saved the day. Production values of Sreedhar Reddy and MVK Reddy are above average.

On performance front, Chaitanya Krishna ranks on top. His innocence and confusion before the final blow is sympathetically caught. Swathi Deekshit nearly managed her real identity. She is of course hot and readily available for a quick harvest. Adivi Sesh was perfect while Nikitha Narayan was nice and Kamal Kamalraju was confident. Mahat Raghavendra realistically portrayed the care free attitude towards life and his criminal, fraud tricks looked authentic. Jasmine Bhasin also did well. Among the others Jeeva needs a mention.

Out of the Movie Ladies and Gentlemen: This is one of a perfect modern day film with strong content to connect with all those people who spend their time more on social networking. Instead of dealing such concepts in a serious mood, there was ample space for director to add enough of fun which missed leading to a dry run. Emotional congruence was lacking in all the three threads with entire first half wasted in mechanical performances. Movie really gets into our head only during last 20+ minutes filled with couple of thrills and interesting elements.

Ladies and Gentlemen can be called a non-commercial film. It dealt a serious and burning issue. Apparently, commercial fate of films in this genre is questionable for B and C class centers while patrons in Metros and A centers might lap it. Decent post release promotions can lift the commercial verdict too.
