Kittu Unnadu Jagratha Review, What’s Behind: Raj Tharun holds a good market value in Telugu states, thanks to his youth following. Director Vamsi Krishna of ‘Dongata’ fame yet again tried the same kidnap genre. Let’s see, how safe was Kittu?

Kittu Unnadu Jagratha Story: Kittu (Raj Tharun), a Mechanical Engineer runs a car shed in Madhapur with his friends (Praveen, Sudarshan and others). He falls in love with Income Tax Officer Adinarayana (Naga Babu) daughter Janaki aka Janu (Anu Emmanuel). Struck in a critical debt problem, Kittu and team take up dog kidnapping profession to earn speed money. In parallel, International criminal and blackmailer AIR (Arbaaz Khan)’s business in India is affected by Adinarayana seizing AIR’s safe locker and kidnaps Janu. How and where Kittu and AIR tracks crisscross is the rest.

Kittu Unnadu Jagratha Artists and Technicians: Its’ really hard to weave confusion comedy stories and scripts involving a big bunch of artists. Vamsi Krishna showed his ‘Dongata’ spark to major extent generating humor, sustaining the interest. His screen writing is commendable because never did he let down film’s tempo to fall down despite there are plenty sub plots emerging to finally join the main plot. His directorial abilities are also satisfactory because energetic Raj Tharun and entire team of artists is kept to optimum usage. Dialogues showed Sai Madhav Burra’s lighter side after a heavier GPSK and Khaidi No 150. Known to have been ripped off from a Korean film, the way story is adopted to Telugu nativity by writer Shyam is also a good job. Rajasekhar’s cinematography is a mediocre work and so is MR Varma’s editing. Anup Rubens scored decent tunes and an acceptable BGM. Production standards are really poor.

Onto performances, Raj Tharun cakewalked in central role tying all sub plots. Though this sort of characters won’t provide extra space for Raj Tharun to show his natural charm, he is still good. Anu Emmanuel is beautiful and love track is made colorful in her presence. Arbaaz Khan starts off as stylishly impeccable villain but loses steam gradually. Raghu Babu as fake Godman and Prudhvi as Rechi (Re Cheekati) evoked the main laughter. Raja Ravindra, Naga Babu, Praveen, Sudarshan, Kalakeya Prabhakar, Appa Rao, Vennela Kishore and others entertained.

Kittu Unnadu Jagratha Advantages:

- Confusion Comedy

- First Half

- Raj Tharun

- Prudhvi, Raghu Babu

Kittu Unnadu Jagratha Drawbacks:

- Second Half

- Climax

- Clumsiness

Kittu Unnadu Jagratha Rating Analysis: Stories based on crime comedy are always safe at Tollywood BO if dealt properly. After proving efficient in same genre with ‘Dongata,’ definitely director Vamsi Krishna extended his touch. The way whole of kidnap drama from dogs to human beings and blackmailing business are incorporated into one stream made narrative engaging. With plenty of parallel sub tracks running and talented artists filling the screen time, there was less of boredom.

Establishing Raj Tharun and Arbaaz Khan gave a decent take off for first half. Flashback of Raj Tharun opened before Kalakeya Prabhakar and gang with introduction of gorgeous Anu Emmanuel followed by the love track kept things on a move. Reason behind Raj Tharun and team into dogs kidnap job is also acceptable before the love track comes to a sudden collapse. Later, Raj kidnapping puppy and Arbaaz Khan abducting Anu is a puzzling interval block.

Into second half, there are lot many inelegant episodes waywardly dealt looses the coherence. Everything from here on goes on predictable lines. Raja Ravindra’s sub track is also unexciting. Bringing all the characters together into a den for regular climax isn’t interesting. Safe locker element used for climax is also sick. Thanks to Prudhvi for providing louder laugh moments in climax.

In totality, KUJ isn’t good and isn’t a bad film at same time. If you are expecting brand Raj Tharun youth centered treatment, this may not be your cup of tea. If willing to pass the time without stressing brain searching for logics, give it a try. Commercial output depends more on how B, C centeres receive. CJ goes for 2.75 stars waiting for Box Office to speak the rest.
