Kaalamega Karigindhi, a youthful romantic entertainer hit the screens on 21 March 2025. The film is directed by Singara Mohan and the OTT rights are yet to be finalised.
Not many viewers are aware of the film and it's release as the makers shockingly didn't promote the film at all. Their laidback attitude is not sending the right signals as even top stars are running every nook and corner to promote their films.

Kalahaale Leni O Prema Katha story is all about the youngster's childhood memories and his search for his lady love. Phani (Vinay Kumar) , after ten years decides to go in search of his childhood lover Bindu (Majjari Sravani).
Why young Phani (Aravind Mudikonda) and Bindu (Nomina Tara) takes a startling decision to move on in their childhood and whether Phani will finally meet Bindu after so many years form the interesting narration.
Nomina Tara came to with a stellar, stunning and breathtaking performance. Most of the time, she expressed herself with her electrifying eyes and killer smile. She made a terrific impact in the role of young Bindu.
Aravind Mudikonda made a perfect pair with Nomina Tara. He did full justice to the role of young Phani. His screen presence is good and he ensured that he endears himself to all.
Vinay Kumar is good in the role of Phani and expressed and emoted quite well on the screen. Majjari Sravani got just one scene and couple of dialogues in the role of Bindu.
Raj kamboji, Aswath Chilukuri played the versions of the protagonist's friend.
Kaalamega Karigindhi story is written by Singara Mohan. The film comes with the tagline Kalahaale Leni O Prema Katha. True to the words he narrated the story in a beautiful poetic way. Seeing the scenes, dialogues and songs, one gets a feeling that the director experienced the story in his life as otherwise it will be extremely difficult to show the scenes and dialogues in such a beautiful manner.
The first half sails smoothly with the protagonist remembering his sweet childhood memories and his childhood lover. The narration and screenplay is to the point and he didn't deviate from the main topic though at times one gets a feeling what why the director didn't give a thought of showing the parents of both the male and the female lead.
The first half ends on a decent note and the viewers are taken into the second half without wasting anytime. Except for a predictable turning point, the narration continues in the same vein with the protagonist searching for his lover. The second half narration slows down considerably as predictability creeps in and director losses plot as to how to bring an end to the romantic story that is bereft of any twists. After a point of time, the screenplay assumes serial like narration.
The music of Gudappan is attractive and touches the emotional chords of the real lovers. The songs are melodious and shot in the backdrop of natural and realistic locations. They are sung by the singers with a real good feel.
Gudappan's background music elevated the scenes in a beautiful manner. The background music added value to the story taking it to the next level. Dialogues are poetic and touches hearts.
The Cinematography of Vineet Pabbati turned the film into a beautiful poet on the screen. He turned the director's vision into a reality using the colour combinations and camera angles to perfection capturing the actors expressions in a captivating manner.
Ra Yogesh's editing is good but the slow narration had a negative impact ending up testing the viewers patience.
Altogether, Kaalamega Karigindhi is a poetic love story. Director Singara Mohan came up with a simple love story and turned it into a beautiful poet on the screen. He got good, realistic performances from the cast and the crew elevated them with their technical expertise.
However, the simple story, slow screenplay and Lack of interesting twists diluted the romantic intensity. But the lack of commercial elements and poetic dialogues will definitely put off the viewers.
The makers might be under the impression as to why despite coming up with such a beautiful film, the people are not coming. To gain the attention of the viewers even before the release of the film, it is not only pertinent to have good story but also attractive, catchy title that piques their interest draws them to the theatres. Most of the viewers get disconnected with the film's title. Packaging and Selling their USP is extremely important to win the hearts with a good, spell bounding story. It is sad that the makers inept attitude and inexperience is playing spoilsport with a film with good content.
Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 2.25 rating for Kaalamega Karigindhi.
