Where is life heads to and what twists it has and how his uncle (Srikanth Iyengar), police Vishnu Murthy (Sameer) are connected form rest of the narration.
Dharma Kakani is ok in his role. He showed good intensity, his body language is apt for the role. His dialogue delivery is good and he emoted well in few scenes. However, he needs to hone is skills to reach the next level.
Aishwarya Sharma is good in her role. She did justice delivering Dialogues accordingly. The scenes featuring Dharma Kakani and Aishwarya Sharma are irritating to the core.
Others like Posani Krishnamurali, Srikanth Iyengar, Sameer, Badram, SS kaanchi, Kirak seetha, Ritu Chowdary, Funbucket rajesh, Raja prajwal performed according to their roles.
Drinker Sai story penned by Tirumala Setti Kiran is a youthful romantic entertainer about a youngster and how his life impacts when he falls in love with a girl. The story is nothing new and many such stories came earlier. Right from the start till the finish the scenes turns out to be mononotous. To the top of it, the slow narration and screenplay tests the patience of the viewers.
The actors also just passed through the motions and one gets a feeling that serials are better than this film. With nothing much substance in the story, the director tried to drag the film with unnecessary scenes in the second half. The second half gives immense torture to the viewers with the double meaning and adult dialogues involving the kid and this shows the cheap mentality of the makers.
Dialogues are cheap and viewers are shocked how the censor board members passed the film for theatrical viewing. Finally when the film ends, viewers heave a sigh of relief. One gets doubt as to how the producers proceeded ahead with such a cheap,B-grade story.
Sri Vasanth's music is foot-tapping but songs acted as speed breakers. His background score is good. Cinematography of Prashanth Anikreddy is good and he turned the film colorful. Editing of Martand K Venkatesh left a lot to be desired. Had he used the editing scissors, there wouldn't have been any scene at all. Dialogues are below standard and tried to target youngsters with direct obscene ones. Production values are ok.
Altogether, Drinker Sai turns out to be an outdated entertainer. Director Tirumala Setti Kiran named the film interestingly as Drinker Sai. However the outdated story, spineless screenplay and direction played the spoilsport. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating for Drinker Sai.
