Bahishkarana Telugu Web Series: Story Review

Bahishkarana story revolves around young couple who gets oppressed by the upper caste people and village politics and how they overcome them and their power with their resilience. In the quiet village of Peddapalli, President Shivayya (Ravindra Vijay) holds absolute sway. His word is law, and no event unfolds without his consent. When Pushpa (Anjali), a captivating and alluring woman, arrives in Peddapalli, Shivayya is instantly smitten. He finds himself deeply enamored by her beauty and seeks to claim her as his own. But the whispers of Pushpa's allure spread throughout the village, creating a stir.

Meanwhile, Pushpa finds herself drawn to Darshi (Shritej), Shivayya's trusted right-hand man. Their connection blossoms into a forbidden romance, and they decide to take the plunge and marry. Shivayya, despite his feelings for Pushpa, grants his permission, setting the stage for an unexpected twist.

As Darshi travels to Patna for wedding preparations, Shivayya delivers a shocking revelation that throws their plans into disarray. In the midst of this chaos, Lakshmi (Ananya Nagalla) enters Darshi's life, further complicating matters.

The series "Bahishkarana" delves into the intricate web of relationships, power struggles, and unforeseen events. We are left to ponder: Why did Darshi end up in jail? What fate befell Pushpa? The answers lie within the unfolding narrative of "Bahishkarana."

Anjali's Bahishkarana Web Series: Artists Review

Anjali, a talented actress with a proven track record, has consistently delivered compelling performances. However, her recent choice of roles, including those in "Gangs of Godavari" and "Bahishkarana," where she portrays a prostitute, raises questions about her motivations. While she has undoubtedly brought her usual finesse to these roles, there's a sense that she might be leaning towards bold characters solely for the sake of opportunity.

Despite the boldness of the subject matter, "Bahishkarana" does not feature gratuitous intimacy. The intimate scenes are handled with restraint and purpose, serving the narrative and character development. Anjali's performance, particularly in the climax episode, deserves praise.

Ravindra Vijay excels as President, bringing both presence and charisma to the role. His looks and dialogue delivery are impressive, though certain scenes might evoke comparisons to Jagapathi Babu's characters in "Rangasthalam" and "Rudrangi."

Sritej continues to impress with his promising performance, solidifying his status as an underrated talent. He delivers his best in every movie, yet he seems to be lacking the breakthrough opportunity that could propel him to greater recognition.

Ananya Nagalla's role appears to be somewhat conventional, while Sammeta Gandhi's character lacks novelty. Shanmukh, Chaitanya Sagiraju, and Mohammed Basha deliver decent performances, but the remaining characters are not particularly memorable.

Zee5 Bahishkarana Web Series: Technicians Review

Following the success of "Rangasthalam," there was a surge in raw, rustic dramas, culminating in the popularity of "Pushpa." However, this trend has seemingly lost its steam, with such genres becoming somewhat stale in theatrical releases. This might explain why "Bahishkarana," a web series that falls into this genre, was chosen for an OTT platform rather than a theatrical release.

While the story itself may not offer groundbreaking originality, it does possess an engaging quality that keeps the viewer invested. Certain scenes, in particular, pique curiosity and create a sense of anticipation.

Director Mukesh Prajapati skillfully employs certain episodes to evoke a raw and rustic feel, masterfully capturing the essence of the setting. He delves into sensitive topics such as caste and untouchability, depicting them with a level of discomfort that is likely intentional. The scenes dealing with these themes would likely be met with controversy if the series were released theatrically, leading to potential boycotts. The OTT platform, however, provides a less restrictive environment for exploring such sensitive issues.

Despite its modest budget, "Bahishkarana" boasts commendable production values. The cinematography of Prasanna Kumar and background music of Siddharth Sadasivuni are in sync with the story's tone and atmosphere, creating a cohesive and immersive experience."Bahishkarana," a web series that explores sensitive themes, takes a somewhat slow-paced approach in its first three episodes. While these initial episodes might feel deliberate and perhaps slightly sluggish, the narrative begins to gain momentum and significance thereafter. As the story unfolds, the subsequent episodes become more captivating, drawing the viewer deeper into the complexities of the world depicted.
