Let us findout what impact Vidya Vasula Aham created on movie lovers when it streams on 17  May 2024.

Vidya Vasula Aham (2024) Movie: Story Review

Vidya Vasula Aham story is all about young couple whose journey starts differently from marriage to love and the trials and tribulations they face and how they overcome them.

Vidya Vasula Aham  opens with a whimsical touch, featuring Goddess Lakshmi (Abhinaya)  growing weary of the usual love-story-turned-marriage narratives.  She seeks a different tale from Lord Vishnu (Avasarala Srinivas), one where a couple marries first and then falls in love. This divine intervention sets the stage for an unconventional love story.

The narrative then shifts to Vasu (Rahul Vijay), a mechanical engineer, and Vidya (Shivani Rajasekhar), an ambitious engineer and MBA graduate, who initially resist their parents' pressure to marry.  However, a compelling sermon by a priest (Tanikella Bharani) at a temple compels them to reconsider their stance.

Vidya, determined to find a suitable match on her own terms, crafts a unique questionnaire for prospective grooms.  Vasu, encountering this questionnaire through a broker, fills it out and sends it to Vidya, unknowingly setting in motion a series of events that will ultimately lead to their meeting.

The film then delves into the intricacies of their families' involvement.  Vasu's parents (Ravi Varma Adduri, Roopa Lakshmi)  and Vidya's parents (Kasi Vishwanath, Rajasri Nair), along with Vidya's close friend (Mounica Reddy),  become integral players in this unconventional journey of love and marriage.  As the story unfolds,  we witness the  interplay of family dynamics, societal expectations, and the complexities of finding love in an arranged marriage setting.

The presence of Narada (Srinivas Reddy)  adds an element of intrigue and humor,  further enhancing the unique narrative structure of Vidya Vasula Aham. The film promises a fresh perspective on love and marriage,  inviting audiences to explore the idea that true love can blossom even within the framework of a traditional arranged marriage.

Telugu Movie on Aha - Vidya Vasula Aham: Artists Review

Rahul Vijay delivers a commendable performance as the conflicted young man, Vasu. His portrayal of a character wrestling with societal expectations and his own desires is convincing.  He effectively conveys Vasu's ego and his burgeoning feelings for Vidya.  While his performance is strong, there's room for him to further refine his emotional depth and explore the nuances of his character.

Shivani Rajasekhar shines as the independent and spirited Vidya.  Her portrayal is captivating, seamlessly blending charm,  glamor, and a strong sense of individuality. She effectively communicates Vidya's personality, capturing her playful side and her determination to chart her own path.

The supporting cast provides solid performances.  Ravi Varma Adduri, Roopa Lakshmi, Kasi Viswhanath, and Rajasri Nair convincingly embody the roles of Vasu and Vidya's parents, adding depth to the familial dynamics. Mounica Reddy is charming as Vidya's friend, while Tanikella Bharani leaves a lasting impression in his cameo appearance.  Avasarala Srinivas, Abhinaya, and Srinivas Reddy contribute effectively to the film's overall narrative.

Vidya Vasula Aham - Latest Movie on Aha: Technicians Review

Vidya Vasula Aham, penned by Venkatesh Routhu, initially captivates with its fresh perspective on marriage and love.  The narrative, cleverly introduced through a divine intervention involving Lord Vishnu, Goddess Lakshmi, and Narada, piques viewers' interest, setting the stage for an unconventional love story where marriage precedes love.

The film's initial moments are engaging, with the lead pair, Vasu and Vidya, refusing marriage before ultimately changing their minds. Vidya's unique questionnaire and the witty dialogues add a layer of entertainment and thought-provoking commentary on societal expectations.  The first half, while predictable in some aspects, holds promise and leaves viewers eager for a compelling second act.

However, the second half falters significantly.  The story, screenplay, and direction lose steam, resulting in a predictable and uninspired narrative.  The pre-climax scenes lack logic, and the rushed climax leaves audiences disappointed.

Despite the shortcomings in the second half, Vidya Vasula Aham benefits from some strengths.  Kalyani Malik's music is a highlight, with soulful, youthful melodies beautifully captured on screen.  The background score complements the narrative effectively.  Akhil Valluri's cinematography adds vibrancy to the film, showcasing visually appealing scenes.  The production values are decent.

While the film's initial concept and the first half hold some appeal, Vidya Vasula Aham ultimately falls short due to the weak second half and a lack of depth in the story and characters.  With some fine-tuning of the script and a stronger focus on the core themes, Vidya Vasula Aham could have been a more engaging and memorable cinematic experience.

Vidya Vasula Aham: Advantages

  • Rahul Vijay, Shivani Rajasekhar
  • Couple of Scenes
  • Songs
  • First Half

Vidya Vasula Aham: Disadvantages

  • Second Half
  • Rushed Climax

Vidya Vasula Aham OTT Review: Rating Analysis

Altogether, Vidya Vasula Aham turns out tobe a routine story of the young couple. Director Manikanth's "Vidya Vasula Aham" explores the theme of marriage versus love, presenting a unique take on a familiar trope. While the film ventures into uncharted territory in its exploration of this theme, other aspects feel somewhat predictable.

Despite the familiarity of some elements, Vidya Vasula Aham boasts decent performances from Shivani Rajasekhar and Rahul Vijay. Their chemistry adds a layer of intrigue and their individual performances showcase their talents.

Considering these elements, Cinejosh awards Vidya Vasula Aham a rating of 2. The film offers a glimpse of fresh perspectives, but ultimately, it falls short of reaching its full potential.
