Tejus Kancherla is good in his role. He did justice to the role with his performance. He reaches next level if he hones his expressions and emotions and also body language accordingly. Kshubhoo Choudhary performed her role accordingly. She looked good on screen and impressed with her looks.Goparaju Ramana, Chammak Chandra and Anand Chakrapani performed according to their roles and tried to evoke few laughs. Others played their roles according to the story.
Uruku Patela story penned by Vivek Reddy is stuffed with entertaining and thrilling elements. He introduced lead actor as an uneducated person who tries to woo the educated girl and these scenes are seen in many old films and looked outdated. However,he generated interest with pre interval twist increasing scope on the second half. But the interest quickly fades out with predictable scenes. One gets a feeling that he got confused whether to take the film towards hilarious side or thriller side and this impacted his narration and screenplay though few scenes in the second half are good.
The mix of comedy and thrilling elements failed to make an impact and the climax turns out to be predictable. The director failed to present the good point he chose in an interesting way on the big screen.
Sashank Vupputuri's editing is ok but could have been more crispier. Praveen Lakkaraju's tunes for the songs failed to appeal to viewers. However he did a decent job with the background crore. Cinematography of Sunny Kurapati beautified the film turning it colorful. Dialogues are ok and production values are good.
Altogether, Uruku Patela turns out to be a patience tester. Though the film has few moments and Tejus Kancherla tried his best, director Vivek Reddy should have added few more entertaining and hilarious elements to appeal to viewers. Story turned out to be predictable and screenplay and direction followed the same pattern. Considering all these points, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 rating for Uruku Patela.
