Jagadeesh Prathap, who shot to fame with Allu Arjun's Pushpa is starring in Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu. The film directed by Abhinav Danda after multiple postponements finally skipped the theatrical release and started streaming on Aha OTT. Let us find out what movie lovers got in Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu.
Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu's story is about a villager who has two acres of land and the emotions attached to the land. Auto Driver Sathi (Jagadeesh Prathap) lives happily with his wife Andamma (Mohana Sree) and two children, taking care of his two acres of land in Kolluru village.
But his happy life takes a drastic turn and where this leads to and how it is connected to his friend Anji (Raj Tirandas) should be found out watching the film on Aha.
Jagadeesh Pratap once again showed his acting prowess. He came up with a natural and realistic performance. He showed good expressions and emotions to elevate the scenes. Mohana Sree, Aneesha Dama, and Taj Tirandas did full justice to their roles. Vennela Kishore surprises with his performance. Bithiri Sathi, Muralidhar Goud, and Master Rasool played according to their roles.
Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu's story readied by Abhinav Danda is touted to be a hilarious entertainer in the village backdrop. Abhinav Danda started the narration in a right earnest and he generated a few laughs for the first half of the film. He included a few scenes featuring Jagadeesh Pratap and Vennela Kishore that entertained viewers. Especially Vennela Kishore tickled a few ribs.
But he quickly lost steam and the entire second part is stuffed with unnecessary and unwanted scenes that are completely irrelevant to the story. Even the entertaining elements disappeared completely. Though he came up with a good story, he failed with his writing which turned out to be weak and disappointing. Finally, everything went for a toss in the climax which looked clumsy. Abhinav Danda lost plot in various plots and subplots and he seems to have been in a confusion whether to turn it into a hilarious or emotional entertainer. At times he missed emotions due to entertaining elements and other times he missed entertainment in search of emotions.
The music of Jay Krish is ok. But he elevated the scenes with his background music. Viswanath Reddy's cinematography showed the proceedings in a natural manner. Abhinav Danda's editing left a lot to be desired. There are many unwanted and unnecessary scenes in the film which irritated the viewers. Dialogues are ok. Production values are good.
Altogether, Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu missed all the entertaining elements. Abhinav Danda got a story that got immense scope to generate a lot of humor and immense fun. He got the right kind of actors like Jagadeesh Pratap and Vennela Kishore, but he failed to get the optimum out of them. The top of it, his screenplay and direction turned pathetic. As Bhinav Danda handled even the editing, the love for his project, blinded his editing skills as he included all the unnecessary scenes. A little fine-tuning of the script and screenplay and a different climax would have done wonders for the film. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.5 Rating for Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu.
