Artists Review

Regina Cassandra is with in her elements while doing her role. She looked apt for the role of an archeological student. She showed good body language and carried herself well on the screen.

Vennela Kishore's even presence is a asset to the film. Though his role starts in a silly note, he elevated the scenes with his comedy acts and hilarious antics. Credit goes to Vennela Kishore for making the first half bearable with his comedy timing and mannerisms.Thagabothu Ramesh also complimented him quite well in few scenes.

Others like  Akshara Gowda, JP, Jiva Ravi, Michael, Rachapudi Kaushik, Yogi, Ravi Raja just passed through the proceedings.

Technicians Review

Nene Naa story provided by Caarthick Raju is touted to be a hilarious murder mystery. He after a slow start gets in track with the hilarious scenes involving Regina Cassandra, Vennela Kishore and Thagabothu Ramesh. Thus, though nothing much happens in the first half regarding story wise, viewers will be content with little smiles on their faces.

But they will get a rude shock, when they expected something similar in the second half. With the director running out of ideas and the real twist getting to revealed, he found it difficult to replicate the hilarious acts of Vennela Kishore.

Vennela Kishore goes completely to missing in the second half and this impacted the film badly. The ridiculous and atrocious second half tested the patience of the viewers and made many walk out of the theatres. Infact this flash back undid whatever little good work done in the first half. Dialogues are just ok.

Sam CS scored the music for the film. The songs tests the patience of all. Background music is in sync with the story. Gokul Benoy's Cinematography showed the forest locations in a attractive and natural manner. The editing of Sabu Joseph is decent in the first half and went for a toss in the second half. Production values of Apple Tree banner is just average.

Advantages

  • Regina Cassandra to some extent
  • Vennela Kishore's comedy
  • First half

Disadvantages

  • Second half
  • Foolish flashback
  • Rating Analysis

Altogether, Nene Naa is ridiculous to the core. Caarthick Raju planned to show Regina Cassandra in a hilarious horror entertainer. He managed to tickle the bones of the viewers for most of the first half but when the stage is set for the second half, he failed miserably. The story turned out to be predictable, screenplay sand direction nose dived. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 1.25 Rating for Nene Naa.
