Mr. King (2023) Movie : Story Review

Mr. King's story is all about a youngster who is honest and hates to cheat people in the name of marketing gimmicks. He despises telling lies and all boils down to how he dealt with the difficult situations and problems posed by people in his life in this materialistic world. Shiva (Sharan Kumar) though works as an RJ, pursues his passion to turn his Project Vayu into a reality. He comes across two young and beautiful girls in his life Vennela (Urvi Singh) and Uma Devi (Yashvika Nishkala).

Where this leads to, what is Project Vayu, whether he is able to realize his dream of Project Vayu with his technology, how he is connected to Professor Bhushan (Tanikella Bharani), father of Umadevi, Seeta Rama Raju (Murali Sharma) from the rest of the story.

Mr. King Movie : Artists Review

Sharan Kumar, the grandson of Vijaya Nirmala tried his best to impress movie lovers. He is ok in the role of the youngster who is out on a mission treading a different line, unlike other youngsters. His innocent looks impress. However, he has a lot to go to reach the next level. He should work extremely hard with regard to his body language, expressions, emotions, and dialogue delivery. He should know how to make the best use of the screen presence.

Yashvika Nishkala got average looks. She just passed through the motions. She failed to elevate the scenes at crucial times despite her best attempts. Urvi Singh looked glamorous and red-hot on the screen. She played the bubbly young girl to perfection. Roshan Reddy in the role of Krishna, a friend of Sharan Kumar is ok. He at times ended up irritating the viewers with his antics.

Murali Sharma did the role of a typical father and who is cunning and goes all out to achieve his materialistic thoughts. His role offered nothing new but he with his experience generated interest. Tanikella Bharani as the professor came out with good and powerful thought-provoking dialogues to increase the intensity levels. Vennela Kishore tried to evoke a few laughs with his antics but the scenes turned out to be extremely routine. Sunil played the role of a Taxi Driver and he did not get a chance to show his talent. Others performed according to their roles.

Mr. King Movie : Technicians Review

Mr King's story readied by Sasidhar Chavali is a triangular love story. He tried to generate interest by blending it with technology and elevating the character of the hero with his mission for a pollution-free society. Though the idea is good, he failed completely in his execution. For decades, Tollywood viewers are treated to triangular love stories. Just talking about technology in a triangular love story doesn't make any sense. None of the scenes in the first half excite movie lovers.

Sasidhar Chavali seems to have been constrained as the lead actors are debutantes and he found it difficult to extract the optimum out of them. Except for Urvi Singh who managed to keep viewers glued with her hot looks and bubbly performance and cute expressions, the main pair Sharan Kumar and Yashvika Nishkala failed to sustain the interest levels. They failed to get even the basic expressions right and Sasidhar Chavali realizing that decided to focus on seasoned performers like Murali Sharma, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, and Sunil.

But Sunil's role is limited and Vennela Kishore turned out to be an irritation and because the scenes involving him are not written in a hilarious manner. Murali Sharma and Tanikella Bharani turned out to be the saving grace for the film. But for all the hard work, Sashidhar Chawali's inexperience impacted the film in a big way. Except for a few dialogues, there is nothing in the movie that appeals to viewers. The story turned out to be extremely routine and the screenplay and direction failed to inspire any confidence. It in fact turned out to be atrocious.

Tanvee Anjum's cinematography is ok. It is just average and seems budget constraints had their effect. Mani Sharma's music turned out to be a disappointment. The songs are not that appealing while background music is just average. Editing left a lot to be desired. There are many drags that tested the patience of the viewers. Production values are just ok.

Mr. King Movie : Advantages

  • Urvi Singh's looks
  • Few Dialogues

Mr. King Movie : Disadvantages

  • Story, Screenplay, Direction
  • Silly Execution

Mr. King (2023) Movie : Rating Analysis

Altogether, Mr. King starring Vijaya Nirmala's grand son Sharan Kumar turned out to be extremely disappointing. Sharan Kumar came with blank expressions and failed to come with decent emotions. Sasidhar Chavali, the director failed to get the optimum out of the actors and even the technicians. One gets the impression even Jabardasth's skits and actors perform far better than the cast of King. Sasidhar Chavali failed completely with his story, screenplay, and direction. Considering all these aspects, Cinejosh goes with a 1 Rating for Mr. King.
