Vishwak Sen endeared himself to movie lovers as Mass Ka Das not only with his Max action flicks but thought provoking entertainers.
He is now getting ready to entertain movie lovers with his upcoming film Mechanic Rocky. The film directed by Ravi Teja Mullapudi is releasing on 22 November. Let us see what Vishwak Sen offered to move lovers as Mechanic Rocky.
Mechanic Rocky story revolves around a young mechanic who leads his life in a happy go lucky manner until the entry of a land grabber brings drastic changes.
Rocky aka Rakesh (Vishwak Sen), is forced to take care of his dad RK (Naresh) automobile garage. But his happy life gets into trouble with the entry of a powerful and influential person Ranking Reddy (Sunil).
Where this leads to, and how Priya (Meenakshi Chaudhary), Maya (Shraddha Srinath) are connected to form rest of the developments.
Vishwak Sen surprises all with his performance. He looked energetic as the happy go lucky guy. He showed good emotions and expressions while trying to save his father's garage. He delivered dialogues in a apt manner showing good body language.
Meenakshi Chaudhary looked homely and traditional. She performed her role effortlessly as it is tailor made for her. Shraddha Srinath is good in her role. She looked cute in her looks.
Sunil sported a menacing look for his role. His role however looked just typical and offered nothing new. Naresh is ok in his role as the father.
Hyper Aadi, Harshavardhan, Viva Harsha performed according to their roles.
Mechanic Rocky story is penned by Ravi Teja Mullapudi. He tried to show the happenings in the life of a mechanic in an interesting manner. He started the narration however in a predictable and monotonous way with hero introduction and then showing the romantic track. Even the father, son scenes didn't offer any novelty.
The silly screenplay and narration makes people wonder where the story is heading. Only during the run up to the interval the story takes a serious tone. The interval twist increases the interest levels towards the second half.
The second half starts in a similar way without offering much highs to the viewers. But after few minutes into the second half, few twists and turns surprise all. But one gets a feeling that it is too little too late.
Few scenes in the film reminds movie lovers of Mass Raja Ravi Teja's Khiladi. The narration and screenplay picks up pace generating curiosity among movie lovers.
Dialogues are ok and few emotions worked out well. Otherwise the film offered nothing new to the viewers.
The music of Jakes Bejoy is youthful. Couple of songs are foot-tapping and are shot well. However the songs acted as speedbrakers. The background music is in tune with the storyline. Anwar Ali's editing is ok but could have been better as he left many repetitive scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. The cinematography of Manojh Reddy is appealing and colourful. Production values are good.
Altogether, Mechanic Rocky turns out to be an interesting entertainer with routine elements. Vishwak Sen excelled with his performance showing variations accordingly and director Ravi Teja Mullapudi loaded the story few interesting elements with few twists and turns involving insurance policies and online scams and cyber frauds. The director touched upon the most burning topic to capture the imagination of all. A little fine-tuning of the script and doing away with the routine elements would have added more spice to the story. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2.5 rating for Mechanic Rocky.
