Jamba Lakidi Pamba Review, What’s Behind:

Srinivas Reddy too is willing to make his mark as solo hero like many comedians. After scoring a super hit with Geethanjali and starring in an average grosser Jayammu Nischayammuraa, he has come up with yet another comedy entertainer Jamba Lakidi Pamba. Will this movie amuse us like EVV's comedy caper? Let’s get into the actual review part:

Jamba Lakidi Pamba Story Review:

A software engineer Varun (Srinivasa Reddy) and his wife Pallavi (Siddhi Idnani), a fashion designer, apply for mutual divorce due to differences. Their lawyer Hari (Posani Krishna Murali) aspiring to enter Guinness Book by completing 100 divorce cases takes up this as 100th case. Meanwhile, Hari, his wife die in a road accident and sent to earth on a mission for re-uniting the couple. Hari using his powers changes gender of the couple to teach them a lesson. Rest of the story is how this experiment works.

Jamba Lakidi Pamba Artists, Technicians Review:

Old Jamba Lakidi Pamba is one of the finest hilarious entertainers in Telugu cinema. EVV Satyanarayana’s creative vision with unique concept was esteemed by audience and critics alike then. JB Murali Krishna, director of latest Jamba Lakidi Pamba used the same theme but his tackling of subject turned futile.

A wafer thin plot, sluggish narration and a deaf direction make JLP a below average outing. Especially, not even a single scene in first half was enjoyable. Even if you go out for long wash room break, you miss ‘something’. Lead pair arguing over unnecessary issues is so silly.

Satish Muthyala's cinematography is just okay, wherein editing is big drawback. Gopi Sundar too can’t help. Perhaps, due to poor writing and direction, he provided a lifeless album and BGM too was unexciting. Production values are just right.

About performances, Srinivas Reddy failed completely to amuse us. Furthermore, his eunuch acts in second half is no less than torture. Siddhi Idnani is not a heroine material. Neither she has good looks nor did she give a wonderful portrayal.

Posani Krishna Murali and Vennela Kishore are wasted utterly. Tanikella Bharani is okay while Satyam Rajesh, Dhanraj, Raghu Babu, Hari Teja and others did their part.

Jamba Lakidi Pamba Review, Rating Analysis:

One needs guts to experiment with old classics and director Murali Krishna took the brave decision to use the title of yesteryear blockbuster Jamba Lakidi Pamba. But, this film is no way comparable to EVV’s comedy caper.

First half begins with introduction of lead pair and silly reason for them deciding to apply for divorce on mutual consent. Entire first half is filled with routine scenes of meaningless disagreement between Varun, Pallavi and Posani’s efforts to unite them for his personal reasons.

Raghubabu’s expression of excitement in office with dances on mass beats and Vennela Kishore’s entry numerous times to convince the lead pair for divorce didn’t bring any laughs. Movie heads to interval with Varun and Pallavi’s gender change.

There’s no big activity in latter half as well. Varun and Pallavi’s cross gender change acts further destroy curiosity. Dhanraj’s track is filthy. While we are bored of pointless narration, inclusion of songs test our patience. Movie ends on happy note with Varun, Pallavi coming to normal stage.

All in all, Jamba Lakidi Pamba is a hopeless, worthless film with many negatives. It’s better to skip this film. CJ goes with 1.5 stars for zero efforts from entire team.
