Artists, Technicians Review
Darshan on debut tried to impress movie lovers with a romantic entertainer in the backdrop of a murder mystery. However, the story lacked novelty and turned out to be routine. He tried to create fun with situational comedy but it did not work out. The story turned out to be predictable and so too are the screenplay and direction. The pace of the narration dips and the tempo drops many times. Darshan takes his own sweet time to enter into the real story. The real story starts only before the interval after the evolution of romance between Arun and Meenakshi and the mysterious murders and the local politics revolving around it. He generates interest in the second half with the interesting scenes but after a point, he dragged the scenes testing the patience of the viewers. In the climax, he showed the emotional angle well but only up to a point. Darshan should have worked on the screenplay and story for better impact.
Sushant came with improved performance and carried the film on his shoulders. He should have however worked even harder for better impact. He looked youthful and energetic and especially the mass dance in the office delights all. He impresses with his screen presence. Meenakshi Chowdhary on debut is good and performed well. She should work hard to make an impact in the future. Venkat as the brother of Meenakshi did well. Vennela Kishore attracts to some extent with his humor. Sunil surprises with his comedy in the cameo. Ravi Varma, Priyadarsi did their roles to perfections. Abhinav Gomatam did well and so too are the other actors.
Praveen Lakkaraju's music is ok. Songs are well shot but the placement of songs affected the film in a negative manner. Background music is good. The cinematography of Sukumar is impressive. The scenes are wellshot with good usage of camera angles. The editing of Garry could have been far better. Production values are ok.

Rating Analysis
Debutant Darshan tried to generate interest with the romantic thriller Ichata Vaahanamulu Nilupa Raadu. To some extent he came with an interesting story but failed with his screenplay and direction. The illogical scenes, slow pace, poor narration had a negative impact. Only couple of comedy scenes and few twists thrilled viewers. Considering these points, CJ goes with a 2.25 rating for Ichata Vaahanamulu Nilupa Raadu.
