Artists, Technicians Review

Director Nagesh Kukunoor teaming with Keerthy Suresh for a sports drama increased the attention of all. However, Nagesh Kukunoor failed to live up to the expectations coming with a weak story, insipid screenplay, and direction. The lack of real twists and turns turned the film into a stale one. People expected a lot as it happened to be Nagesh Kukunoor's debut in Tollywood.

However, he failed in his writing which did not generate any interest among movie lovers. None of the characters are shown in a strong manner and the weak narration spoiled the project completely. The first half starts on a dull note and ends on an even duller note. The sports scenes or the romantic scenes fail to attract the viewers as they missed the touching emotions. Second half treads in a similar fashion with routine elements and on a predictable line. All the so-called rivalry looked artificial and devoid of logic and the climax turned out to be a big letdown.

Keerthy Suresh looked good and slipped into her role effortlessly. She looked good as a village girl and impresses with her expressions and looks. She even did a good job delivering dialogues in Rayalaseema accent. Except for that, she did not do anything special for her role as a shooter.

Jagapathi Babu, Aadi Pinisetty, Rahul Ramakrishna performed well in their roles. Aadi got a good role and is introduced in an interesting manner as an aspiring theatre artist. However except that there is nothing to say and his role is not explored properly Aadi passed through the motions. Rahul Ramakrishna looked out of sync with the story and the narration. He did not fit into the role of Soori though he tried his best. Jagapathi Babu is good as the coach and he got a few good dialogues to make an impression.

Sreekar Prasad's editing failed completely. The cinematography of Chirantan Bhatt is average and could have been far better. The music of Devi Sri Prasad is just ok. His background score is a little better. Dubbing is not up to the mark. Many dialogues are inaudible. Production values are below average.

Rating Analysis

Keerthy Suresh and Nagesh Kukunoor dreamed of Good Luck at the box office with Good Luck Sakhi. However with silly narration, missing emotions, they invited bad luck on themselves. Nagesh Kukunoor failed to showcase Keerthy Suresh's character in a convincing manner. Nagesh Kukunoor failed to deliver the message that everything depends on hard work and not luck. Considering all these points, CJ goes with a 1.75 rating for Good Luck Sakhi.
