Things take an interesting twist when a precious Nizam diamond goes missing from the museum and is suspected to be in the Chor Bazaar. To find out whether the diamond is in Chor Bazaar and what is Bachchan Saab's connection with it, his romantic story with Simran (Gehna Sippy), and why Home Minister (Sunil) and Manja (Sampoornesh Babu) are showing interest, watch Chor Bazaar on screen.

Artists, Technicians Review

Jeevan Reddy of George Reddy fame tried to entertain viewers with a romantic thriller. He starts off the narration in an interesting manner with the diamond robbery. The introduction of Sunil and Sampoornesh Babu's characters generates interest. However, in between, he loses the intensity with routine scenes and silly execution. The moment one expects the narration to reach another level after an interesting scene, the next scene pulls it down completely. The first half ends after testing the patience of the viewers. However, viewers had the hope of a better second half but their hope turned out to be false. The second half turned out to be even more torture with the flashback scenes and the director completely lost the plot with his screenplay and direction. He failed to make the optimum use of actors like Sunil and Sampoornesh Babu. Sunil's accent did not suit him and Sampoornesh Babu after a point started irritating.

Akash Puri performed well in the role of a youngster who handles the chor bazaar's illegal activities and also as a man with a good heart. He tried to attract the masses with his looks and action scenes. His dialogue delivery in Hyderabadi Urdu attracts all. However, he still has to improve a lot working hard on his expressions, emotions, and dialogue delivery. Gehna Sippy got a limited screen presence and since she was shown as a dumb girl, she did not get a chance to deliver dialogues. Archana is ok in the mother's role.

Subbaraju is fine as the opponent. Sunil made his presence felt and so did Sampoornesh Babu. Others performed according to their roles. Anwar Ali's editing could have been far better. There are many drags in the film which tested the patience of the viewers. Jagadeesh Cheekati's cinematography is good. Suresh Bobbili's music is good.couple of songs are well shot and attractive. Background music is just ok. Production values are just average.

Rating Analysis

Chor Bazaar's title excited all and Puri Jagannath, and Jeevan Reddy's combo increased the expectations. The presence of Sampoornesh Babu and Sunil increased hopes. However, within a few minutes into the narration, director Jeevan Reddy deviated from the main plot and tried to touch upon various issues and all the scenes turned out to be out of sync. The routine story and narration, coupled with the lackluster screenplay and direction played the spoilsport. Considering all these elements, CJ goes with a 1.75 rating for Chor Bazaar.
