Chitti Potti story revolves around the brother and sister bonding and how a youngster goes all out to see happiness in the life of his sister. Kittu (Ram Mittakanti) who aspires to become a police officer loves his sister Chitti (Pavithra Anand) dearly. He also has a beautiful and good looking girl friend (Akkala Kashvi). However his happy life turns upside down when shocking incidents happen involving his sister. Where this leads to and how Kittu reacted form the rest of the proceedings.
Ram Mittakanti got a good role and he tried to show variations in his expressions according to the situation. He showed emotions showcasing his love for his sister and also as a caring son. To the top of it,he showed his romantic traits also. However he should improve upon his dialogue delivery and body language to make a better impact.
Pavithra Anand made her presence felt in the all important role of the sister. The emotional bond between brother and sister is highlighted aptly with the scenes featuring Pavithra and Ram. Kashvi Akkala is ok in her role as the female lead. She god limited screen presence and tried to make it count with her effort.
Others like Kavitha Srirangam,Penjarti Hemanth, Aakiveedu Siva,Pasumarthi Jyothi,Kannuri Lakshmi Kantha Mani,Kandhala Acharyulu,Raghuveer Sudhakar did justice to their roles as the friends of the hero and also as the family members and neighbors.

Many such films came earlier and the director planned to show it in a different manner. However he spent the entire first half on the brother sister bonding and the second half concentrated on showing the value of friends, relatives and family members. He chose a concept of deep fake videos and morphing that has been the burning topic but instead of concentrating more on it, he stuffed the film with scenes having monotonous shades like family drama, emotions, brother sister bonding etc.
He tried to connect the emotional chords with his screenplay but the predicable plot and lack of real interesting twists and turns undid the work as the pre climax and climax drags a lot.
Balakrishna Boya's editing could have been far better. There are many drags that slowed the pace of the film and the repetitive scenes and predictable feel, tested the patience of the viewers. Malhar Bhat Joshi is good with his cinematography. He showed the scenes in a apt and beautiful manner. Sri Venkat's music is good and background music is average. Production values are average.
Altogether, Chitti Potti turns out to be another run-of-the-mill story on brother-sister bonding. Director Bhaskar Yadav Dasari chosed a unique concept and generated interest but he failed to elevate it to another level as the scenes turned out to be predictable to the core. Little fine-tuning of the script would have helped the final output. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Chitti Potti.
