Chaurya Paatam story revolves around an aspiring director who after facing rejections takes a surprising decision and how he deals with the developments that arise in the aftermath.
Vedanth Ram (Indhra Ram) an aspiring director after repeated rejections takes a shocking decision. What is this shocking decision and how Anjali (Payal Radhakrishna), Bablu Kumar (Mast Ali), Jack Dan (Abhi Valguman), Shivay (Edward Stevenson), Dhanapalli Zamindar (Rajeev Kanakala), Sarpanch Vasudha (Supriya Ayosula) and where this leads to form the interesting part in the narration.
Indhra Ram is with in his limits while coming to his performance. He came up with singular expression. He should work on his expressions and emotions and hone his acting skills.
Payal Radhakrishna is ok with here performance. She looked attractive on the screen. She didn't get much scope to show her acting talent.
Supriya Ayosula is good in the role of the Sarpanch. She made her presence felt with her performance. Her expressions and emotions made a powerful impact. Rajeev Kanakala got an in consequential role.
Mast Ali, Pheku, Mast Ali, Anji Valguman are ok in their roles. Edward Stevenson is ok in the role of the inspector. Others performed according to their roles.
Chaurya Paatam story is penned by Karthik Ghattamaneni and is helmed by Nikhil Gollamari. He tried to entertain viewers with a comedy drama revolving around money heist.
Though the idea looks interesting, many such films came earlier. The starting scenes looks routine, silly and outdated. Karthik Ghattamaneni's story offered nothing new and the screenplay and direction of Nikhil Gollamari assumed familial trope. The interval twist generates little interest over the second half.
But all the hopes over the second half evaporates quickly. None of the scenes offer any freshness. The film comes to an end finally in a predictable manner.
Davzand's music is situational. There is only one song and it didn't make any impact. However, his background music is good and is in sync with the storyline. The scenes are elevated with the score.
The Cinematography of Karthik Ghattamaneni is good. He showed the night scenes in a good way and used camera angles to take viewers to the story.
Uthura's ending is ok but could have been better as there are many repetitive scenes that slowed the pace of the narration. Production values are decent.
Altogether, Chaurya Paatam turns out to be silly money heist thriller. Nikhil Gollamari offered nothing new and he just tried to impress viewers with few romantic and hilarious scenes. The performances of the actors are ok. Nikhil and Karthik Ghattamaneni could have worked on the script and screenplay for better results. Considering all these elements, Cinejosh goes with a 2 rating for Chaurya Paatam.
