The educational reforms introduced by the Telugu Desam Government are paying rich dividends stated Telugu Desam leader N Chandrababu Naidu.
Talking to reporters at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Monday during Ishtagoshti programme in Chittoor, Medak and Rangareddy on Monday, he said the results of AIEE, IIT-JEE, Civils and many examinations indicated the performance of Andhra students at the national level is excellent.
Naidu criticized the state government for neglecting the education sector and said no reforms were introduced and there was no fund for the sector.
The TDP takes credit for introducing reforms in the education sector and for laying good foundation stone for curbing dropout rate in the schools, particularly girls, he stated.
The TDP has brought higher education to the backward classes by sanctioning scholarships and through reimbursement of fee. It had also introduced professional courses like microbiology, information technology and biotechnology in private colleges and worked for industrial growth of state.
It conducted recruitments in a transparent manner without giving room for corruption, he said.
