The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Tuesday stalled the counseling for admission to medical courses under sports quota.
Dealing with a petition, the High Court in its interim order on Tuesday asked the EAMCET counselor not to go ahead, till further orders, with the admission for medical seats under the sports quota. The case has been adjourned to August 24 for further hearing.
Following the order, the admission process has come to a grinding halt. Ms Mounica, a student seeking admission into medical course under the sports quota, has moved the High Court alleging certain irregularities.
After hearing both sides in the case, the court on Tuesday passed an interim order stalling the admission process under the sports quota till further orders by the court.
