As the life returned to near normal in the communally sensitive Old City and other areas, the police lifted the day curfew on Tuesday.
According to Hyderabad City Police Commissioner A K Khan, the curfew will be lifted in the 25 police station limits of Old City in the day time from 6 a.m to 6 p.m from Wednesday.
As the Police lifted curfew, the Education department officials on Tuesday conducted the SSC Public Examination, which were postponed due to violence.
Earlier, Minister for Primary Education Manikya Vara Prasad postponed the SSC public examination held on March 29 in the Old City due to communal disturbances.
The officials said the SSC re-examination was conducted peacefully in all the centres and no untoward incident was reported.
However, in the examination conducted at Bandlaguda centre, 5,494 out of 5711 turned up.
