Hyderabad,Jan 27: The State Intermediate Board examinations face the prospect of being postponed. This was revealed to newsmen by Government College Lecturers Association secretary Madhusudan Rao here on Wednesday.Members of the Government College Lectures Association met Chief Minister K Rosaiah, Civil Supplies Minister Jupalli Krishna Rao and Minister for Information Technology Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and urged them to postpone the examinations.
The Association leaders said the Chief Minister has responded to their plea favourably.Meanwhile, the Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has threatened to disrupt the Intermediate examinations if the examinations are not rescheduled.Under pressure from the Corporate colleges, the Government is mulling to conduct the examinations as per schedule (beginning March 3). However, the ABVP leaders met the Secretary of Board of Intermediate Examinations and submitted a memorandum pleading to postpone the tests.
