Security beefed up in city for R-Day

Hyderabad,Jan25: Cautioned by the Intelligence agencies on possible terror attacks by HUJIs on the Rebublic Day, the city police have beefed up the  security arrangements for the  celebrations. Special teams of the Central Crime Station, City Armed Reserve Police, 14  AP special platoons besides 600 civil force  personnel will keep a vigil on the movement of strangers, passengers who will alight on the city on Republic Day.Parade Grounds, the hub of activity during the Republic day celebrations, will be heavily fortified.

Visitors and invitees for the Republic day parade will be heavily frisked. Metal detectors will be installed at all entrances of the ground. Cell phones, cameras, bags, tiffin boxes and water bottles are prohibited at the venue. Drinking water facilities will be made available on the grounds.Bomb disposal squads have also been pressed into service and the police forces will keep a tight vigil at the venue.On the eve of the Republic Day, the City police have imposed traffic restrictions and also provided make-shift parking arrangements for the convenience of the invitees.
