The situation in Andhra Pradesh is turning further more complicated. With no proper administration to control the ever increasing Telangana and United Andhra Pradesh grudges, now State Government has to face one more head ache as APSRTC’s JAC has given call for strike from today midnight.
APSRTC-JAC Convener Padmakar Rao on explaining the media about reasons for their strike has said that, they have submitted their 17 demands to the State Government in last year and major among their demand was that of pay revision being sought with effect from 01-04-2009.
With State financial condition in doldrums, when other State employees were already given 22 per cent interim relief while State Govt. is just offering just 15 percent interim relief to RTC employees, while Union’s demand is to go for 27percent.
NMU, the primary party in APSRTC has decided to go on for strike from day after tomorrow; JAC has decided to go for strike from today mid night. Another important demand was regularization of services of the approximately 15,000 contract laborers.
So, buses in Andhra Pradesh will come to total halt from today midnight.Here is the request not to make any travel plans until next notice is given by either Govt. or Unions.
