Hyderabad, Dec 24: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti which called for a 48-hour bandh on Wednesday relaxed the duration of bandh by 24 hours following an appeal by All India Christian Association to facilitate the celebration of Christmas on Friday.The Association on Thursday expressed its solidarity with TRS leader K Chandrasekhara Rao, who is agitating for the cause of separate Telangana and sought relaxation of the bandh for Friday.Responding to the appeal, the TRS leader promptly dropped Friday's bandh in view of Christmas.The TRS called for a 48-hour bandh beginning Thursday. However, the Joint Action Committee of Osmania University students and Telangana Political Joint Action Committee on Thursday decided to continue their agitation till they achieve their goal.
