Tirupati, Dec 21: Second additional magistrate Nageswara Rao on Monday remanded Tirupati Urban Development Authority Chairman and ex-officio member of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy in judicial custody till Jan 4 in connection with a RTC bus burning incident at Sapthagiri Bus Station on Dec 11 here.
The magistrate remanded Bhaskar Reddy in judicial custody after hearing arguments and counter arguments on the case.Bhaskar Reddy is a strong votary of united Andhra movement and actively participated in violent incidents in the town.Earlier,the police produced him before the magistrate,as his custody expired on Dec 21. He was shifted to Tirupati Sub-Jail.
