Vizianagaram,Nov 28:The Police forces on Saturday nabbed eight Maoists during the combing operations in the Alamanda- Bandhugam forest area near the Andhra-Orissa border.The police launched the combing operations to flush out Maoists from the Andhra- Orissa border in Viziainagaram district.Large number of weapons were recovered from the Maoists who are holding sway over dozens of villages in the Andhra-Orissa border.Of late the combing operations to counter Maoist activities in the district have been intensified in Vizianagaram district. The combing operations have also yielded good results when the police unearthed a Maoist dump during combing operations in Kurupam mandal on November 10 .
