Under pressure from TV artistes, who took to streets seeking a ban on dubbing serials, the management of Maa TV channel has agreed to drastically cut down the number of serials.
We will reduce production and telecast of dubbing serials by 50 per cent from next month, Producer Allu Aravind said.
Aravind, who has a stake in Maa Entertainment channel, said that he will hold talks with all the channels producing and telecasting serials and TV artistes to broker peace.
Telugu TV artistes have been on strike demanding ban on dubbing serials as they are cutting into their assignments while TV channels contend that they have invested lot of money and cannot go back or stop dubbing serials immediately.
With Allu Aravind, himself taking initiative, the problem could easily be solved.
TV artistes have raided Maa TV office and broke the glass panes earlier.
