Hyderabad, Oct 28: The Government should bear all the expenses in the treatment of dengue fever which is widespread in the state at the moment. This was disclosed to the media by Telugu Desam Party chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to Karimnagar district on Wednesday. The TDP chief, who is visiting some of the places which are under the grip of dengue fever in Karimnagar district, said that it is the responsibility of the Government to take care of those people who are infected with dengue fever and take up the necessary measures to keep the spread of disease under control.Chandrababu reached this place by road from Hyderabad on Wednesday morning to console the families of those who lost their dear ones due to dengue fever recently.
He also visited some of the patients suffering with dengue fever in primary health centres.In Husnabad division of Mahabobnagar district within a space of just 30 days five people died of dengue fever. Some of those who are suffering with dengue fever have been shifted to the capital city for further treatment. The TDP chief speaking on the occasion said that the spread of dengue fever is due to unhygienic conditions prevailing in the villages and the menace of mosquitoes.
He asked the village sarpanches to direct the panchayat workers to maintain hygienic conditions in the village. He advised the Government to run free medical camps in these areas to hold a check on the spread of dengue fever.While so many people are dying due to dengue fever the Government is sleeping over the matter and is taking things very casually. The ministers are more interested in their portfolios than in taking care of the people, who are suffering due to dengue fever, he lambasted the Congress government.
