Hyderabad,Oct 16: Y S Vivekananda Reddy from Kadapa and Patil Venugopala Reddy from Anantapur who won as Members of the Legislative Council were sworn in as MLCs in the chambers of A Chakrapani the chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Council here on Friday.The Andhra Pradesh State Legislative Council was revived after 22 years. In the year 1985 the council was abolished by the then chief minister N.T. Rama Rao. The council has a total strength of 90 members.Y S Vivekananda Reddy speaking on the occasion said that there are no groups like Jagan’s group and Rosaiah’s group. We will all abide by High Command’s decision.Sonia is our leader and she know s what is best for the state and she will pick up the right person for the leadership in Andhra Pradesh at the right time.
He further added, it is really very painful to be at the oath taking ceremony without late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. I will try to live up to the expectations of YSR that will be the greatest homage we can pay to him, he said.Regarding the choice of candidate for the Pulivendala byelection due to the sudden demise of YSR, he said it is for the High command to decide and we will bideby high command’s decision.
